The SMART project has a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system which is designed to ensure effective project oversight and continuous learning. This system integrates both results-based monitoring and periodic assessment of adopting the Resource-Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) practices at the microenterprise level, providing comprehensive insights into project progress.
The system involves the use of real-time RECP baseline screening and profiling which will further integrate to Management Information System (MIS), that simplifies data collection, entry, and analysis. Biannual reports are being generated from data shared by Partner Organizations (POs) with the PKSF, which in turn submits to the World Bank.
The project will also undergo regular results assessments conducted by third parties, aimed at evaluating the relevance, efficacy and effectiveness of the interventions. This will include assessing the adoption of RECP practices and their impacts on the economic and environmental wellbeing of the microenterprises.
